This week's ZAPFIC Monday challenge centers around the prompt "wire" and presented the opportunity to explore the action meaning. This involves sending or receiving monies through various means. The practice is convenient for reaching a recipient quickly when funds are needed for emergencies.
I have sent monies utilizing via Western Union, a popular service, and experienced no issues. In normal circumstances, recipients who request funds from another person is relying on that person to respond immediately. Often, a person may not be in a financial position to loan or gift money given a specific time frame. I share a flash fiction story related to the prompt.
