Of Cherries and Cheese | Mixed Media Project

They say I'm enthralling.

They say I'm enticing.

They say I have foresight to see beyond.

They say I will go far in this mortal, material,
superficial, and superfluous world.

They say I'm the most beautiful creature that He ever made.

They say.

But I say, Lord, I shed this skin of indecency and look beneath
the dressing to the inner core of my being.

I say please grant me the wisdom
to understand the difference between fact and fiction;

So that I may go forth in humility.

Serving and worshiping that which is deserving.

For my current mixed media project, thoughts of humility crossed my mind as I watched a television program emphasizing the physical attributes of females. Some elements of the programming were indeed disturbing in that the segment left me with disdain on how females are portrayed in our society. Some accept the labels and move forth gracefully in its disgrace. Others rebuke the mold that one must adjust to in order to be included in the public's perception of physical beauty.

Below are my steps in which I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images which began with a blank, white canvas. I then added layers of elements.
