"Fermented Hope In the Face of Dystopia"
Fear not, my loved ones.
For it's only a short while your pain will last.
Ready for the chaos of this dark, dreary world,
you were not.
Hurry! Come nigh to this well of hope.
Drink deeply of this sweet remembrance of what was
and can be again.
Quench your thirst for life in this desolate place.
For I will be your fountain.
I will be your sustenance.
But from where do you draw your strength?
they ask, quivering under the doom of darkness.
My strength cometh from a place you've long tossed aside
for the bounties of that world.
Now you're left with nothing.
But I offer you one last chance.
Come, for the time draws near where no water
will flow from my lips.
For my current mixed media art project, I decided on a poem and a bottle collage for the Sparks Fly Contest prompt. For the bottle of hope, I utilized the stable diffusion program, StarryAI, to retrieve the lovely female offering hope to a desolate people. For the pure fractals created by me, I utilized the advanced version of the fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X.

I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with a blank, white canvas. I then added layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.
