He discovered her lying among the moss at the edge of the river bed. A pile of loveliness among the spilled crimson lifeblood that succumbed to the madness life dealt. He desired to rescue her; to take her home.
But he could not. Her once beautiful face was now pallid; drained of vibrance.
Her fate had been already written in the book of life.
What a pity, the wise old eagle thought as he covered her body from the elements, then took flight.
He circled, then glanced down for one final look. I'll not visit again, he promised.
As he disappeared behind the trees, then the mountain, his thoughts turned to the world as he knew it. The evil that humans do to one another is unimaginable. And it's not for the sake of survival. Prey versus predator.

For my current mixed media project, I wanted to break away from my series on "Grappling With Nature" and utilize one of the projects for a stand-alone design. I chose the female and the eagle to depict a unity in nature. An understanding that comes from hardship and the will to survive.
Below are my steps in which I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with a blank, white canvas. I then added layers of elements.

The images I chose to bring the nature scene together included a female and an eagle. The female image I discovered from a free-source. The eagle and white flowers were retrieved from a stable diffusion program, StarryAI. When deciding my background, I wanted to depict sorrow, so chose a red coloring. Clouds are red. Tree leaves and branches. Even the landscape rocks. I did leave room for the flow of water in the stream where the female is lying.
Lastly, I included two pure fractals I created in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X. One pure fractal that resembles a bird with red coloring I placed in the skyline among the clouds. The other pure fractal I situated in the bank of the stream.
