I'm new here, and am just starting to poke around. Steemit looks really neat!
EVERYTHING'S CHANGING, AND IT'S AMAZING. We are hitting inflection points in technology, media, communication, economics, and culture. It’s exciting to imagine the possibilities and potential of where we are headed, and it’s empowering to know that we can all help shape it.
Of course, empowerment comes with responsibility. Each of us must understand what type of world we want to live in, act accordingly, and set positive examples. It's harder than it sounds. It's really important. It's sobering. It's exhilerating!
A BIT ABOUT ME - My professional background is in technology and finance. I feel fortunate that I can say, genuinely, that it’s been a fascinating ride.
Outside of work and family, I have many interests, but little time for any of them! Somehow, I still fit in food and travel. One day, I’d love to pick up snowboarding and the guitar again, and maybe learn another language or three. The time might never come, but I'll always look forward to it.
I’m not sure yet how I’ll contribute to the Steemit community, but I will hopefully find a way. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
