It all starts with a curiosity; The terraforming of tomorrow is the management of today.
We have to learn to manage our planet, to make it habitable, the first planet that we have to learn to terraform is the Earth, because if we do not know how to manage this planet, how are we going to be able to transform another world or manage another world, which is that we are going to look for planets that are like the Earth to destroy them after a few generations, it does not make sense.
Imagine that we invent a method to travel faster than light and we can choose, go to those worlds that are literally like the earth, obviously we will have to go to dead worlds to give them life. We are not going to go to a world that is alive to exterminate the life that is there and occupy that place does not make sense, we are going to become the aliens that destroy worlds that appear in science fiction movies, in the end those evil aliens are going to be humans, I hope not.
