The Simple Formula

I'm tired...

And not in the sense of being exhausted from work. Or going for an hour long hike...Not this feeling of being tired is from scrolling on social media.

I remember when I first discovered social media or whatever we called web 2.0 back in the day, it was so awesome. It was awesome people it was pure human connections. You found like minded people, formed communities, and generally people seemed to get along.

Sure there was the odd disagreement and debate but overall, it was a fantastic experience. I really dove in when I first discovered this stuff, I joined sites like MySpace (yup I'm that old), Facebook but really adopted and embraced Twitter (X.com now).

I saw how I could use these new tools to build my businesses around the connections they could form because as I've stated for decades now...The real power in any online business, or social network is...The people!

However, things have changed. A lot...

One glimpse on social media today and you see the division. And it's not just one group that disagrees with another...Far from it. It almost seems like if you put these two groups in a room together, they would tear each other's heads off.

And I'm not even trying to be funny. It's really bad out there.

The wars. The politics. The hatred. This is what social media and sadly the entire world has seemed to become.

However while you may read this post and think it's all doom and gloom, keep reading. There is hope!

The first is what we have here on the blockchain. While there is disagreements and even 'downvote wars' in our history, the slime and hatred that propagates on social these days, generally doesn't find it's way here. I'm thankful for that!

But now we're going to go theological because...Well that's my focus these days :)

MATTHEW-6-33-KJV-But-seek-ye-first-the-kingdom-of-God-and-his-righteousness-and-all-these-things-shall-be-added-unto-you--03-17-2026_09_59_PM.png

I think about this verse a lot...

I've always said that a verse like Proverbs 16:18 has been my favorite, but the further I go in this life thing, this verse is the one that takes up the bulk of my attention.

What's so powerful to me in this verse is that Christ is telling us what we should be focusing on first and foremost. His kingdom! And when we do, look at the blessing that follows.

That's fine and dandy Jongo, you may say, but how can we seek His kingdom when we are surrounded by the evils that we see daily all around us..

I present a two fold remedy to this problem. Which would allow us to fulfill what Christ is bidding us to do...

The first is to know who our enemy truly is:

EPHESIANS-6-12-KJV-For-we-wrestle-not-against-flesh-and-blood-but-against-principalities-against-powers-against-the-rulers--03-17-2026_10_03_PM.png

When we turn to Ephesians 6, before we get the description of the armor of God, we see who the real enemy is. I think this is so important to remember because will all the drama and fighting in the world, we HAVE to remember that our real enemy is not flesh and blood.

It's not our fellow man. It's the devil. It's the spiritual wickedness that thrives on planet earth. If we approach life knowing that our enemy is a raging lion, ready to devour us or better yet...Get each other to devour oursleves....We can prepare ourselves much more for the kingdom.

Which brings me to how we do just that...

PHILIPPIANS-4-8-KJV-Finally-brethren-whatsoever-things-are-true-whatsoever-things-are-honest-whatsoever-things-are-just--03-17-2026_10_07_PM.png

The remedy!

Think on these things!

We see the apostle Paul breaking down what we should be filling our minds with. It's not the 'drama of the world', no no, far from it.

It's the good stuff! It's the pure stuff! It's the honest stuff!

It's the heavenly stuff :)

I dunno, maybe I'm thinking too 'simple' right now, but God isn't the author of confusion...Maybe it's as simple as seeking His kingdom by first knowing who our real enemy is. Once we do that, we focus on the good and stay away from the evils of the world.
