In yesterday's #bible911 post we spoke about being worried. The cousin of worry is most definitely anxiety. And fancy enough, that is the next topic that we will be going over on our emergency number graphic found below....
And the verses that our graphic points out, contains a few of my favorite verses in Scripture. Let's take a look...
This is a great verse to start us off but there is another reason this one is near and dear to my heart....
My wife and I started to teach our kids bible verses a few years ago. And one of the ways we did it was through song. There's actually a very catchy kids tune that repeats this verse over and over again.
Which...Really helped my younger sons catch on. They know it by heart and they run around the house some days, signing this lol. By them actually enjoying this verse and singing it out loud I actually...Rejoice in the Lord :)
The verse is quite pleasant and reminds us that we should always be rejoicing in the Lord.
Come on! Does it get any better than this?
Want to cure yourself from anxiety simple repeat this verse in your mind and OWN it! The peace of God, which is simply incredible, will be with you at all times when you focus on Christ.
Simple. Powerful!
Speaking of focus.....
I have a few favorites in Scripture. Proverbs 16:18, John 17:17, Ephesians 6:12.....But Philippians 4:8 just hits for me. This is my daily reminder and when I say daily, I literally think about this verse daily.
Oh wow. When you really accept this verse as being the way to true happiness, your life changes. It's perfect. For me it reminds me that there is lots of things to be anxious about in the world....Because we focus on them!
But what does this verse say...Think on the GOOD things. The heavenly things!!!
That's how we get rid of anxiety and focus on our Lord and Savior every single moment of the day!
