Dragon's Den

Dragon's Den

 Atop the mountain,
Hail and snow.
The winter breeze-
An awful blow.
Raging rivers
Frozen fast,
In the distance,
Valleys vast.

Gaping cavern,
Opened wide,
Welcome warmth,
Though deep inside,
A lurking creature
Sleeps till dark
‘Till epic quest
It shall embark.

Slumber wakes and
Dark skies set,
The dragon roars
A flaming jet.
Spreading wings
Begin to glide,
Through winter air
No rules applied.

One by one
The others lift,
Their leader’s side
Along they drift.
In formation
Soaring high,
Into the night
The dragons fly.
