You know, when you are in Misamis Oriental, don't forget to visit Black Beach in Magsaysay. It is so much fun there especially when you are with your family. Unlike other beaches with white sand this one has all black rocks and small pebbles. They say it is from volcanoes a long time ago so it looks really unique. The water is super clear and watching the waves crash against the rocks is so relaxing..
When you get there the first thing you'll notice is the contrast dark rocks against the bright blue sea. Perfect for photos! It is not usually crowded so it is peaceful. You can bring a mat sit back and enjoy the sun without too many people around.
I remember going there with my family once. We brought snacks a guitar and just chilled out all afternoon. We sang songs laughed a lot and took tons of pictures. The kids had a blast climbing the rocks and exploring the little tide pools. It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves.
There is one spot where the waves make natural pools.. The water is so clear you can see small fish swimming around. It is gret for the kids to splash in and for adults to cool off without getting completely wet. Just be careful though the rocks can be slipery!
When sunset comes the sky changes all kinds of colors and the black rocks make those colors pop even more. It is so amazing like something out of a movie. Then at night you can see so many stars because there is not much light around. Stargazing with the family is really special there.
The locals are friendly too and they keep the place clean so you don't have to worry. There are small stores nearby if you want to buy snacks or drinks but it id better to bring your own so you can have more fun together.
If your family likes adventure you can also go snorkeling or diving. People say the underwater view is awesome lots of colorful fish and coral. We have not tried it yet but we are planning to next time.
Honestly, Black Beach is not just pretty. It is a place where you can relax forget about your worries and spend good time with your family. Peaceful, simple but so beautiful. It is definitely a place you will want to come back to.
So if you are heading to Misamis Oriental, make sure to take your family along. You will all have a great time. Bring your camera pack some food and get ready for good vibes. Promise the trip is worth it!
