Hello Everyone
Welcome to my entry to digi - prompts 041 on digital superstitions.
Digital superstitions are created by people, and they are widely spread, putting most people in so much fear.
It's only wisdom that can save someone from not believing them.
It's funny on how people use funny emotional blackmail messages to threaten people online.
Back in the days, most of us strongly believed in those messages that come with, "if you don't forward this message to 10 other people, something bad will happen to you this week".
Or "Reply Amen to this message and see riches come your way, if not you remain poor".
I had a funny experience back then that almost caused us high blood pressure and made us believe our death.
There was this Facebook group that my sister read something about a certain selection of people that would die through heartache that week.
Those selected could receive a certain message containing some arabic characters.
She quickly forwarded the message to every member of my family, telling us to look out and pray not to receive such a message.
The fear and anxiety that ran through our veins the whole day were enough to cause us high blood pressure and send us to the hospital with or without the message.
We waited all through that day in fear and prayed not to receive such message.
Like time we could have used to do important things in our life without worries and unnecessary anxiety.
Funny enough, I received the message, I wasn't really sure if that's the kind of message they were talking about.
But I made sure not to tell anybody about it,I was so scared.
I brought out a notebook and wrote a farewell message to my parents and siblings.
The fear of nearing death filled my whole body, I only made sure to pretend and hide it.
I ate everything eatable in the house that day, per say, it is my last meal.
That night, I couldn't sleep well.
I was just thinking about the many things I would miss and where will i be going from here.
I didn't know when I slept off.
I woke up the next day healthy and sound.
It was later in the day that my sister shared with us about someone's write that the message was all a lie.
And someone might have mistakenly forwarded a message to the wrong contacts.
That was when I joined in agreeing that it was all a lie,that I received the message and I am still alive.
Everyone was just shocked to hear I received the message and said nothing.
