I have never found markdown an intuitive markup language, I don't know if its because I grew up with HTML or I'm just getting old.
I gave LaTEX a try about 5 years ago and while it is very flexible, it didn't translate into online content very well. Last fall I discovered the world of RestructuredText, and that is the middle ground that I will live.

This post is not about that though, rather its about cross posting from my redesigned site with pelican.
I used to use a plugin on my wordpress site, and then I spent a short period of time just copy/pasting the text and manually adding the various images. That was annoying, so I stopped.
Yesterday I realized I can just copy/past the HTML and get the same thing done. So now I have a very simple way to syndicate my personal site to #hive.
