It was midsummer when we decided to venture along the ancient path.
The hundred-year-old cypress trees seemed to be watching us, silent witnesses of dark secrets.
Suddenly, a thick haze covered the path and through the fog, we spotted spectral figures crossing the disoriented curves.
My heart stopped as I recognised those robes of another age.
They were the former inhabitants of the old abandoned house, condemned to wander eternally for having broken an arcane pact.
A shiver ran through me as I realised that we had entered a path of no return, trapped in time, prisoners of an ancestral mystery from which we could no longer escape.
