A very early alarm clock was rewarded with 2 plates of vegetable chow mein for breakfast. As soon as I left Butwal I knew it was going to be a tough day.
Straight into a big climb the road disappeared and I was left to cycle over rubble.
Thankfully this didn’t last too long but the road disappearing would become a recurring theme throughout the day.

I was warned about dangerous passing from trucks but fortunately they gave me enough space and a cheery beep to warn me they were going to do so.

My efforts were rewarded constantly with incredible views throughout the day.

Arguably the highlight was stopping off in a small village town for lunch and being given the best vegetable chow mein I’ve had so far. To make matters even better, it was less than half the price of the cheapest one I’ve had so far aswell!
I reached Pokhara at night so was not able to see it clearly but by the number of lights I could see it was a far bigger city than I had presumed.
I’ll be resting up for a day or two before heading on to Kathmandu to see what Pokhara has to offer!
