City Contrasts
On this occasion, for this photographic work, we returned to the vicinity of the National Pantheon of Venezuela, an architectural and landscape complex located in the northern center of the always beautiful city of Caracas. Today was a radiant day, with a practically clear sky and a sun that shone with all its strength, giving us in the early hours of the morning a unique and unrepeatable brightness, which is able to give a touch and emotion to each photograph captured, a natural attribute positively in the enhancement of details and in general terms in the beauty of each image.

Contrastes Citadinos
En esta ocasión, para realizar este trabajo fotográfico, regresamos a las inmediaciones del panteón Nacional de Venezuela, un complejo arquitectónico y paisajístico ubicado en el centro norte de la siempre bella ciudad de Caracas. El día de hoy resultaba radiante, con un cielo prácticamente despejado en su totalidad y un sol que salía a brillar con todas sus fuerzas, regalándonos en las primeras horas de la mañana un brillo único e irrepetible, el cual es capaz de imprimirle pida y emoción acá fotografía captada, un atributo natural positivamente en el realce de los detalles y en términos generales en la belleza de cada imagen.
The National Pantheon, together with the Mausoleum of the Liberator Simon Bolivar and the adjacent buildings, give us one of the most violent and at the same time interesting contrasts of the whole city, it is here in these few blocks where the architecture became totally creative and decided to print in each structure a radically opposite style, where the differences are palpable at a glance and where the play of dimensions shows us that each architect sought to capture in his work a unique grandeur and grandeur, which could transcend in time and leave an indelible mark on the urban profile of the city.
El Panteón Nacional, junto al Mausoleo del Libertador Simón Bolívar y los edificios adyacentes, nos regalan uno de los espacios de contrastes más violentos y al mismo tiempo interesantes de toda la ciudad, es acá en estas pocas cuadras en donde la arquitectura se volvió totalmente creativa y decidió imprimir en cada estructura un estilo radicalmente opuesto, en donde las diferencias son palpables a simple vistas y en donde el juego de dimensiones nos demuestra que cada arquitecto buscó plasmar en su obra una imponencia y grandeza única, con lo cual se pudiera trascender en el tiempo y dejar una huella imborrable en el perfil urbano de la ciudad.
With more than 100 years the structure of the National Pantheon is characterized by a neo-Gothic style, while the mausoleum of the liberator inaugurated in the second decade of the XXI century, is presented as a superstructure of modern and minimalist features, where the simplicity of the finishes and the use of each space rise as the cornerstone of a structure that from afar looks clean, time and in the same way very sober. Undoubtedly this is a contrast that perhaps for urban planners and architects is a barbarity, but it really is a reality that is replicated in multiple blocks of the historic center of the city of Caracas, as this is a space that over time has been characterized by buildings that break in its entirety with all its surroundings, giving these spaces a unique and very characteristic touch.
Con más de 100 años la estructura del panteón nacional se caracteriza por contar con un estilo neogótico, mientras que el mausoleo de libertador inaugurado en la segunda década del siglo XXI, Se presenta como una superestructura de características modernas y minimalistas, en donde la simpleza de los acabados y el aprovechamiento de cada espacio se elevan como el pilar fundamental de una estructura que desde lejos se ve limpia, tiempo y de la misma forma muy sobria. Sin duda alguna de esto es un contraste que tal vez para los urbanistas y arquitectos se trate de una barbaridad, pero realmente es una realidad que se replica en múltiples cuadras del centro histórico de la ciudad de Caracas, ya que este es un espacio que con el tiempo se ha caracterizado por contar con edificios que rompen en su totalidad con todo su entorno, imprimiéndole a esos espacios un toque único y muy característico.
There is no doubt that this type of contrasts initially seem quite shocking, but over the years, the environment seems to be accepted by the surrounding society, which has taken over these spaces and has filled them with life and constant activity, allowing all the energies to flow harmoniously and making this place an area of tourist, historical and cultural interest. Where the Mausoleum stands as one of the largest and most imposing monuments of a capital that sought to give its liberator a dignified, grandiose and safe space, where he can be honored for the rest of eternity.
No cabe la menor duda de que este tipo de contrastes inicialmente parecen bastante chocantes, pero con el pasar de los años, el entorno parece ir siendo aceptado por la sociedad que lo rodea, la cual se ha adueñado estos espacios y los ha llenado de vida y constante actividad, permitiendo que todas las energías fluyan de manera armoniosa y haciendo de este lugar un área de interés turístico, histórico y cultural. En donde el Mausoleo se erige como uno de los monumentos más grandes e imponentes de una capital que buscaba regalarle a su libertador un espacio, digno, grandioso y seguro, desde donde pueda ser honrado por el resto de la eternidad.
