I want to share with you some of the pictures I took the first day I arrived in Paraitepuy, the closest town to the mysterious Mount Roraima.
Quiero compartirles algunas de las fotografías que tomé el primer día que llegué a Paraitepuy, el poblado más cercano al misterioso monte Roraima.
The first thing that caught my attention when I arrived was the amount of grasshoppers that were there and the characteristics they had, because I had always observed the typical green and small grasshoppers; and suddenly I was in front of these, which are of large size and extravagant colors.
Lo primero que me llamó la atención al llegar, fue la cantidad de saltamontes que había y las características que tenían, pues siempre había observado los típicos saltamontes verdes y pequeños; y de repente me encontraba frente a estos, que son de gran tamaño y colores extravagantes.
I really enjoyed photographing this insect, the fact that it has so many textures on its body was fascinating.
Disfruté mucho fotografiar a este insecto, el hecho de que posea tantas texturas en su cuerpo, me parece fascinante.
I was also lucky enough to capture a melipona bee as it flew into the grass flowers and fed on pollen.
También tuve la fortuna de capturar a una abeja melipona, mientras volaba hacia las flores del pasto (gramíneas) y se alimentaba de polen.
