Here is an additional dance video for my collection Afro-Latin Dance Madness. I and Teacher Jem are dancing Brazilian Zouk and I am still at a Beginner's level. It's different from what I'm used to dancing - Bachata & Kizomba. I feel like the steps and turns are a bit slow but graceful. It's very technical and so I want to learn it only from the best once I'm in optimal health.

The most characteristic feature of Brazilian Zouk is the follower's upper body movements which are led out of axis by intricate leading and following techniques. Other features include body isolations, tilted turns and more recently counter-balance techniques. Brazilian Zouk is a dance with well defined basic steps and rhythmic patterns. The representation of these steps and rhythmic patterns varies depending on the substyle of Zouk. Source

This dance video was also shot on the beautiful island of Boracay during the last day of our stay there last November 2022. Though the skies were cloudy, we were lucky that rain only started to pour after our video shoot. 😁 I enjoyed this dance and making this video and made me realize how I had fun. No pressure to be perfect or need to get the steps right.

To more dances with beautiful souls in the future! 💃
