Greetings!
It's been a while since my last post and thats got everything to do with financial stress.
My girlfriend and me just came back from townhall. Long story short. Because both of us are unable to work due to mental problems, and because Teddy comes from Sweden. We basically got told that there's a high chance that either Teddy will get shipped back to sweden if we apply for welfare, or we don't apply for welfare and neither her nor me get anything whatsoever.
Right now i'm getting around 900 euro's, but because we live together aparently we don't even have the right to that anymore. If Teddy was originally from Holland we'd be getting 1300 or so euro's. But she's from sweden so we get nothing or she gets deported. What kind of bull**** is that? I could understand if we need to keep going on with the 900 i get right now and nothing extra for her. But because we love eachother and want to live together, all of a sudden we get punished for it? What's the difference if they give 900 just to me or 900 to the both of us?
We followed the rules and signed her in, which honestly we didn't have to do, they'd never know she'd live with me if we didn't do this. But we're law abiding citicens, so you know, we did. Seems honestly has come back to bite us in the ass. I'm stressed and anxious as all hell atm. Luckily my dear mother is going to call the IND(our immigration services) and see if she can get some more positive news for us, as i don't feel able to do so right now.
Hopefully things aren't as bad as they seem. We'll have to see.
