Today, I come to share with you my visit to the great National Museum of Fine Arts, in Havana, where I enjoyed beautiful significant paintings by great personalities of my country, mainly by Mariano Rodriguez and Rene Portocarrero in the consolidation room of modern art. MARIANO RODRÍGUEZ
En esta primera parte les hablaré del artista Mariano Rodríguez pintor, ceramista y ilustrador cubano que nace en 1912 en La Habana, fue fundador y preside la selección de artes plásticas de la Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC), se dedica exclusivamente a la pintura en 1960 y presenta sus obras en países como Mexico, Venezuela, Brasil, Ecuador, Estados Unidos y regiones de Europa. En sus últimas etapas de vida deja al patrimonio cultural de nuestra ciudad una importante colección de óleos, cuadros y dibujos, muchos de los cuales se exhiben en el museo.

In this first part I will talk about the artist Mariano Rodriguez, Cuban painter, ceramist and illustrator who was born in 1912 in Havana, was founder and president of the selection of plastic arts of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), was dedicated exclusively to painting in 1960 and presented his works in countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, United States and regions of Europe. In the last stages of his life he left to the cultural heritage of our city an important collection of oil paintings, paintings and drawings, many of which are exhibited in the museum. Search 🔍

De todas las muestras el que más me impresiona es este paisaje, pues soy muy fans de la combinación de colores y el contraste. Se orienta hacia dimensiones más ocultas o evocativas dentro de las ideas del artista hacia el Almendares.

Of all the samples the one that impresses me the most is this landscape, as I am a big fan of the combination of colors and contrast. It is oriented towards more hidden or evocative dimensions within the artist's ideas towards the Almendares.

Nota: Siempre hago una o dos fotos de la sala de exposición, para que vean cómo se ven los cuadros y la decoración del lugar, todo muy colorido, alumbrado y bien cuidado por el personal del local. Los guardias que lo cuidan siempre están atentos a cualquier movimiento, si entran con comidas se les llama la atención y es prohibido tocar las obras.
Note: I always take one or two photos of the exhibition room, so that you can see how the paintings and the decoration of the place look, all very colorful, well lit and well cared for by the staff. The guards who take care of it are always attentive to any movement, if they enter with food, they are called to attention and it is forbidden to touch the works.
RENÉ PORTOCARRERO
Esta segunda división en la sala está asignada para René Portocarrero ilustrador y pintor cubano que nace el 24 de febrero de 1912 en La Habana, en sus inicios se destacó por su primera exposición personal en el Lyceum de La Habana en 1934, durante toda su vida artística ejecuta numerosos murales en diversas técnicas, en lugares conocidos de la ciudad el hotel Habana libre, la iglesia parroquial de Bauta entre otros, presenta sus obras en países como Mexico, Brasil, Estados Unidos y España entre muchos más. Es considerado una de las figuras más destacadas de la plástica cubana y sus obras están permanentes en el museo.

This second division in the hall is assigned to René Portocarrero, Cuban illustrator and painter born on February 24, 1912 in Havana, in his beginnings he stood out for his first personal exhibition at the Lyceum of Havana in 1934, throughout his artistic life he executed numerous murals in different techniques, in well-known places of the city, the Habana Libre Hotel, the parish church of Bauta among others, he presented his works in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, United States and Spain among many others. Este otro paisaje también me gusto mucho, muchas tonalidades internas, mostrando una ciudad hermosa para la vista del observador. Muchas casas, edificaciones, ventanas, calles todo relleno de encanto y colores vivos.
