In marriage, there often are times of conflict. That is to say thay marriage journey is not always calm rather it has its ups and downs and different people react to these dynamics in different ways. The slightest thing can bring about a lasting misunderstanding in a marriage if not well handled and in some cases, more harm could be done to either party of the marriage.
Domestic violence is not a new thing in our society today and worst of all is that it keeps repeating without intervention. If a man maltreats his wife maybe by means of beating, threatening, provoking, sidelining in major or all decisions, does not give full support or and attention. The man is supposed to be the head of the family and as the head, he is a role model hence he should live by example for the children to emulate. A man who beats up his wife at the slightest provocation will definitely pass onto his children that abusive value.
Ephesians 3 verse 28 tells teaches that a man (husband) should love and care for his wife just as he would do to himself. So if the man cannot come about inflicting pain upon himself, then he should also extend that bodily love to his wife. In the institution of marriage, abusing your spouse is like abusing your self because the both (two) have now become one.
**● Ephesians 5:28 (KJV):**
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
It is the work of satan that people engage in domestic violence. It is the doings of the devil that a partner may abuse the spouse. No man puts asunder to what God has joined together. It is the wirk of the devil that a man may be begin to see his wife in another light less than before and soon even starts to desire another woman. This is one reason why a family should live in way of God because the devil is always moving like a roaring lion while seeking to devour anyone whose faith is not tied strongly to God.
**● Ephesians 2:2 (KJV):**
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
*Remain Blessed !*
