Here in Pati, students voluntarily sign up to make posters for different classes, to honour and welcome the professors. Im in my first year of Pati, and I had never tried making a poster before. I did not know how hard it would be to make one. So in the beginning of this semester, I had my name signed up for 4 posters. Didn't think I was stupid, but I guess I was. (Currently I have 1 more poster to upload and I’m done!)
My first poster was for 'Nature drawing' class, and as I sat down to think what I should do for the poster, I randomly got this specific image in my head. I went out and looked for branches, wrapped them with aluminium foil (to prevent papers sticking on the branch), then I soaked thin papers with water and wrapped them around the branch. After a day it was fully dried, so I carefully cut them in half.
I wanted this image to be the emphasis of this poster, so I placed the letters in 2 rows at the far bottom.
이곳 파티에서는 저희를 가르쳐주시는 스승들에게 존경을 표하고, 또한 환영하기 위해서 학생들이 각각의 수업을 위해 자원하여 수업 포스터를 디자인 합니다. 저는 아직 1학년이고, 전에 포스터를 만들어 본적이 없었기 때문에 포스터를 만드는 일이 얼마나 어려운 일인지 몰랐습니다. 그래서 학기 초에 4 개의 수업을 위한 포스터를 만들겠다고 이름을 적었었습니다. 그때는 제가 무모하다고 생각하지 않았지만 무모했던 것 같습니다.. (이제 하나의 포스터만 더 올리면 끝이랍니다!)
제가 첫번째로 만들어야 했던 포스터는 '자연관찰 드로잉' 수업 포스터였습니다. 어떤 포스터를 만들어야 할까 생각하려고 자리에 앉았는데 어떤 이미지가 머리에 떠올랐고, 그 이미지를 만들기 위해 밖으로 나가 나뭇가지를 주워왔습니다. 나뭇가지를 다듬은 후, 먼저는 나중에 종이가 나무에 달라붙지 않도록 하기 위해 알류미늄 호일을 한겹 입히고, 그 후에 화선지를 물에 적셔 나뭇가지에 한겹 한겹 붙였습니다. 하루가 지나니 완전히 말라서 반으로 자를 수 있었습니다.
저는 제가 만든 오브제의 이미지가 포스터의 강조점이 되기 원했기 때문에, 다른 모든 정보들은 2줄로 나열하여 맨 밑에 위치시켜 포스터를 완성했습니다.
