WHY I LOVE YOU

I wonder what your definition of a good music is. I mean, don’t get me wrong there are so many beautiful songs out there sang by amazing artists so it’s understandable when you start finding it hard to really give a definition of what a good song or music is. Well, while listening to my shared playlist with my Friendy, it hits differently listening to this song by Major titled WHY I LOVE YOU. The soul Major added to this song was nothing short of beautiful! And I’ll say this is a good song.
One thing that made this song stand out for me was the fact that the first time I heard it, was at the union of two people becoming one. So sweet and beautiful. If I’d be honest, that day I started fascinating how my own wedding ceremony would be like and when it will become a reality. It was a special moment for the couple and the song they requested was this song by Major. The groom obviously recommended this song because while the song was playing, I watched how he was lip syncing.
Marriage is one amazing union but it is even more wonderful when love is the reason for that union. Not just the love of your partner though but the of God and everything in between (your future family). It means so much for two hearts to be intertwined and you can only imagine how strong that bond will be. Love is not just a strong feeling of affection, for me, it is more of an action word of how you feel towards a person or people. When you tell someone you love them, my question to you will be, how are you showing it?
When you have love for someone, it will and should be evident. It is not something that someone or even those you say you love should be second guessing. Listening to this song by Major, it helped me reflected on the word LOVE. Why do I love you? What are you seeing that makes you feel assured that I love you? So many questions that kept running through my mind. When you love someone, you find yourself loving yourself too because that’s the only way you can love someone better.
I don’t want to imagine anyone in a relationship with someone and they find themselves loving themselves less. That is a first clue that you might be building the right relationship with the wrong person. As Major put it, he said “I found love in you and I have learned to love me too”. Loving yourself is a must when you want to love others. If you keep finding yourself hating yourself in a relationship that you claim to love someone, then it means you don’t deserve to be there. Even when you are making certain sacrifices for those you love, in the end it should bring you joy and not pain.
Well, I’ll love you to listen to this beautiful song and enjoy it for what it is worth, while you ponder on the few things I’ve said.
Thanks for reading through and also listening. ❤️
