El día de hoy les traigo una reseña de un libro muy útil para el autoconocimiento y el crecimiento personal, escrito por la conferencista, investigadora y licenciada en trabajo social, Brené Brown, titulado “El poder de ser vulnerable”, un nombre que llamó mi atención desde el primer momento, puesto que hace mucho tiempo me avergonzaba de mostrarme vulnerable, me frustraba un poco y me hacía sentir débil, pero conforme fui haciendo las paces con ese aspecto de mi humanidad, hace un par de años, apareció este libro en mi vida.

Today I bring you a review of a very useful book for self-knowledge and personal growth, written by the lecturer, researcher and graduate in social work, Brené Brown, entitled "The power of being vulnerable", a name that caught my attention from the first moment, since a long time ago I was ashamed to show myself vulnerable, it frustrated me a little and made me feel weak, but as I was making peace with that aspect of my humanity, a couple of years ago, this book appeared in my life.

Ser vulnerable significa vivir genuinamente, implicarnos en nuestra vida con dignidad, cultivar la conexión, el coraje, la compasión, reconociendo nuestra perfecta imperfección y que, sin importar lo que hagamos o dejemos de hacer, somos suficientes. Siempre estaremos expuestos a riesgos, a incertidumbres y a la manifestación de nuestras emociones, esto es lo que nos conecta con experiencias humanas significativas, por lo que vale asumir con valentía nuestra vulnerabilidad.

To be vulnerable means to live genuinely, to engage in our lives with dignity, to cultivate connection, courage, compassion, recognizing our perfect imperfection and that no matter what we do or don't do, we are enough. We will always be exposed to risks, to uncertainties and to the manifestation of our emotions, this is what connects us to meaningful human experiences, so it is worth bravely assuming our vulnerability.

📖 El libro está comprendido por 7 capítulos donde la escritora nos pasea por creencias y mitos en torno a la vulnerabilidad, cómo lidiar con la vergüenza, cómo conectar a través de la vulnerabilidad y cómo aplicarla para beneficiar nuestros vínculos educativos, laborales y familiares, entre otros recursos de gran utilidad para nuestra compresión humana y diversas reflexiones antes, durante y después de culminar los capítulos expuestos.

📖 The book is comprised of 7 chapters where the writer walks us through beliefs and myths about vulnerability, how to deal with shame, how to connect through vulnerability and how to apply it to benefit our educational, work and family ties, among other useful resources for our human understanding and various reflections before, during and after completing the chapters exposed.

Sin dudas, recomiendo esta obra literaria, es un 10/10 con respecto al contenido que expone su autora, fundamentado en sus investigaciones y experiencias. De hecho, añadiría que escucharan su TED Talks, en Youtube o Netflix, pues me parece que es demasiado valioso todo lo que expresa y valida en torno a nuestra cualidad humana.
