On thoughts' lane

By @harrywill4/25/2018poetry

Glancing at the gloomy April sky,
Solitarily I sit, overwhelmed in my hermitage.

The sky is not the least unnerved
As it persistently talked in thundering tones.
Finally, it gave in to the gathered clouds
And wrung out its tears in torrents
Pelting the walkway and overflowing drains

The same way your love rains in my heart,
Flooding my arteries and drenching my cardiacs
Blood and fluid I need no more since love reigns.
For your love, all vitamins and proteins I need.

On Cupid's wings you've made me fly
Your arrow of love shot at my Achilles
So badly it got me, yet to recover I pray not
Thoughts of you waft across my nostrils
More than any cologne the world ever knew.
