TIL That You Can Buy a Defibrillator on Amazon

So as the title says, I just checked Amazon and you can indeed buy a defibrillator there. The cheapest one is $1700 so it can't just be an impulse buy (see what I did there?).

Why would I be in the market for this medical device? Well it is Sunday so that means the Bears decide to give me multiple heart attacks again. This time they did it all the way from Minneapolis Minnesota. Like many of the Bears games of late, the Bears were dominating fro about three fourths of the game. They looked incredible on defense while intercepting two passes and coming damn near close to another one or two.

Going into the fourth quarter the Bears looked in control with a 16 -3 lead. But, as always, the big problem was that even though the Bears were able to move the ball between the 20s, they kept on stalling in the Red Zone and had to settle for three field goals. Because I have watched the NFL for half a decade... and I have a brain, I know settling for field goals are a recipe for failure.

Sure enough, in the fourth quarter, the Vikings scored two touchdowns. And since math is math and never lies, scoring three times when two of them are touchdowns is better than scoring four times when three of them are field goals. yet again the Bears allowed their opponent to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the fourth quarter. With just 50 seconds left, the Vikings scored a go ahead touchdown. It doesn't help that the drive before, the Bears missed an easy field goal that would have put them up by two scores. But this is the Bears and they are determined to give me a heart attack, so of course they went down (not that kind) by one with fifty seconds left in the game.

Luckily, part of the plan of giving me a heart attack involves the Bears doing exciting things on the last possession of the game. This time they decided to let their special teams drive the roller coaster. After taking the lead, the Vikings kicked off. The Bears return guy Duvernay ran the kickoff back 56 yards to put the Bears in excellent position.

Because they needed to work my last nerve, the Bears ran three running plays for exactly 9 yards. Not 10 yards... because that would have been a first down that would have allowed them to get even closer for a field goal. But 9 yards was the exact least amount they could get to drive me insane.

The Bears called a timeout with four seconds left and trotted their kicker Carlos Santos onto the field. This was the same Carlos Santos who missed a crucial 45 yard field goal about eight minutes before.

Santos lined up and... nailed the 48 yard field goal to win the game as the clock (and my heart) expired.

I love these Bears wins... by my god my old heart can't take many more of these.
