Someone once said, It is just impossible to make mandala art without learning to make Mandala grid.
But is it really difficult to make a grid,? Or you need supernatural skills in arts for making a simple grid...? So the simple answer is No.
The easiest thing one can do before making any project using mandala art is making its grid. But yeah heaving tools are very important, without tools it is almost impossible for making grid and mandala.
So on this Creative Sunday I'm not only here to share how to make patterns of mandala art but also about the simplest approach for making mandala grid.
Let's start making it
Materials
- Sketchbook
- Graphite pencil
- Black pointer
- Compass
- Scale
Procedure
I have started making the grid by first making the circle of unknown radius. I didn't measured it and you can also make circle of any radius.
Then i have used a D for marking the degrees. I have marked on 90°, 180°, 270°, and 360° and attached all marked points with the midpoint.
Then i have placed the pointed end of my compass on the 4 points that i have made to make 4 parts of circle. And made 4 quarter circles in 4 parts.
Then i have marked on the center point of the lines and then made circles by placing the pointed end of the compass on the center point of lines.
Now just exceed the circles and make them look like half moon🌙. And your simple grid is done for making patterns in it.
After that i have used blackpointer and traced the grid with black pointer, and erased the extra pencil lines.
Then I drew a thin line near the outlining with the pointer, which will make my design look less messy and more beautiful.
After that i have started making patterns in the grid. There are total 4 half moons, and I'm gonna use 4 different patterns to complete my mandala art.
1st pattern
2nd pattern
3rd pattern
4th pattern
You can also change patterns according to your comfort, it's just a way of filling your grid.
And here's the final results 👇
That's it for today will be back with another exciting idea soon bye bye 😁 👋
