Hi everyone! This is my first post at steemit.
My name is Denis, 22 y.old, I live and work in Irkutsk, Russia. From time to time I have a part-time job of a guide around lake Baikal which is the deepest (1637 m. is max depth) and at least one of the cleanest lakes in the whole world. I studied IT in Irkutsk National Research University and planning to increase my knowledge in that sphere. What do I love? MTB, hiking, programming and script-writing (for pc games and that sort of things, I mean).

I love hiking, but these days it becomes a routine sometimes. It's a weird feeling, I believe many of you know it: you still love something and clearly understand one thing's importance and beauty, but got used to it in the same time.
So if to talk about travellings, I'd like to commit a huge hitchiking trip around, at least. let's say, 20 countries. You won't believe me, but I live just in about 300 k. to Mongolia, but had only spent one single day in its capital Ulaan Baatar! So I haven't really traveled much, there is always something distracting and making me change the time of upcoming journey.

These days I work as a pr manager in DS Plus app team, I believe you can find something about them in the net, but I won't be telling about it too much, maybe just from time to time. I can only say I love working with them and the goals guys are about to reach are very impressive.
My hometown Irkutsk was founded in 1661 as a small wooden fortress built by a small team of cossacks, which was hired by rich merchants from Moscow with Russian king's (tzar's) permission to explore new lands on the east from existing Kingdom, attach them to the country and settle new towns and forts (of course such team wasn't a single one: there were many and many tens of such expiditions starting from the end of 16th century).

These days Irkutsk is a big and beautiful city with a rich history, beautiful buildings and (that's what I personally think) very friendly people. There are few unis, big chemical and industrial fascilities and raising number of new IT start-ups and companies. Also, the biggest mining farm in the whole Russia is located nearby Irkutsk!
Maybe new trends are reaching us not really fast, but I can see how the city is being changing in last 15-20 years. It is becoming more beautiful. It's becoming more clear. But maybe loses a sort of its unique romance. People's living has become easier and wealthier, but from another hand I remember the days when amount of money in my and my friends' pockets meant nothing. Well, it really meant nothing, because it was quite close to be "nothing" :)

Well this post starts to be a too long one. I was glad to write it and tried to be as open as possible, at least, for the first time of introducing myself. Well, maybe because of I'm not a native english-speaker that's easier for me to be open and sincere, somewhy I don't feel any confusion of a fear in front of a big audience.
Have a nice weekend, guys! See you soon.
