On Saturday morning I got up at 5:45AM and got started on writing posts. I got one done over the day, and started editing photos for a second. But the cough was taking it out of me.
I got a surprise when I pulled up the shades at 7:15AM. We had gotten a lot of snow during the night. I hadn’t checked the weather before going to bed.
So I had to go out and sweep the 6” of powder off the walkways and steps. Sweeping is far easier than shoveling when it’s powder. But it’s still not easy to sweep 6” of snow off long walkways.

I discovered the birds had emptied their feeders, so once I had a walkway to the feeders, I got them filled.
My brother got up about 9AM and got the plowing done then went off to work. I ended up spending most of the day sleeping or reading. The cold and work outside hadn’t improved the cough.
My son got up just after noontime and got the rest of the shoveling done and brought in lots of wood. It was to drop to 10F during the night.
Larry seemed to have lost his new toy, so I cleaned up the paper mess looking for it. I looked under the small couch, but didn’t have the gumption to look under the big one. Hopefully it turns up soon as he has so loved playing with it.
I finished the new book and started a second one. After supper I got the stoves going well, pulled the shades and headed to bed by 8:30PM. But the coughing kept me up for a while before I was finally able to get to sleep.
On Sunday I need to get caught up on my posts, clean up the kitchen, and maybe start pay bills/doing budget. We’ll see…
