Chickadee and goldfinch

On Sunday I didn’t get up until 7:15AM much to someone’s displeasure. I got him fed, stoves tended, shades up and started on my post.

I wasn’t feeling very good and made more ThroatCoat tea and took my elderberry, etc. I rested a while and resumed work on the post. Once it was finally up I went to lie on the couch and watch Christmas movies.

The old Kodak I’ve been trying to use has a LOT of issues. One is the zoom button is seriously malfunctioning. It’s really hard to get it to work and get the right focus. So this was as close as I could get it to go.

After noontime, I finished loading the dishwasher and got it going. That was my sole contribution for the day. Back to movies…. And then the power went out.

It was a sunny cold day and very windy and apparently a tree had taken out a power line. So I went and found the Lady Long Rider book and started reading. I eventually dozed off.

I was awakened by the phone, the electric company calling to say power was restored. Sigh…

So after reading a while, I resumed movie watching. As long as I didn’t move too much, I didn’t cough.

I got some supper and watched movies. Just as the last one finished, my brother returned home from Connecticut. He’d gone down to join my older brother and his nephew for a Christmas music event and dinner.

On Monday I have exercise class and an event at the Senior center. We’ll have to see how well I am doing in the morning. I need to finish the laundry and get this week’s done, clean the kitchen and wrap the last 2 presents and clean up that mess. We’ll see how far I get….
