Today I will take you to visit another beautiful place in Serbia. It is Banja Vrujci.
I have already told you that my job allows me nice trips and teaching in nature. So I was with my students in this beautiful spa.
Spa Vrujci is located about 90 km from Belgrade. It belongs to the municipality of Mionica, and Mionica is in the municipality of Valjevo, one of the most beautiful cities in Serbia for me. I lived and worked in Valjevo for 5 years.
Let's go back to the Vrujci spa. We were accommodated in the "Vrujci" hotel, which is located in the center of the spa. Next to the hotel flows the river Gornja Toplica. The spa is very famous for its healing mud and natural hot water pools, and mostly cures bone and joint diseases.

Teaching in nature is designed so that children are active all day. After breakfast, different activities are organized, swimming, tennis, football or playing in the park. In the afternoon we have classes lasting 2 school hours and in the afternoon again different activities. In the evening, there are themed evenings: quizzes, masquerade ball, schiz-frieze, show what you know...

One day a trip to Brankovina was organized. It is a famous village near Valjevo where the famous: Mateja, Ljuba, Aleksa and Jakov, who are known heroes of the 1st Serbian Uprising, were born. Besides them, the most famous Serbian poetess was born in Brankovina, and she was buried there. This is Desanka Maksimović. The whole complex around the "Ljuba Nenadović" school, where I worked for almost 2 years, is literally a big park. There is also a Russian church built by Desanka Maksimović's husband, who was originally from Russia. The characteristic of that church is that its walls and ceiling are not painted like in Serbian churches, i.e. they don't have a single fresco on the wall.

The second excursion we had while staying in Vrujci was a visit to the "Magic Village", which is located 4 km from the hotel, but is on a hill. The "Magic Village" was designed by the teachers from the school in Vrujci and consists of 4 mini-towers-castles, and there we were greeted by a fairy in front of each tower. Yellow tower-yellow villa, and so on, blue, orange and green. We also had classes there, because each tower can accommodate 8 students. So on a shift, my colleagues and I held classes.

In the spa there is also a very beautiful church with a huge church yard where we were welcomed with hot pie, gibanica, strudels and homemade juice. Traditional games such as tug-of-war and running in sacks were organized there for the children.
On the way back, we stopped by the "Voda-Voda" factory every day, where juices under the name "Sinalco!" are also produced.
One of the most beautiful stays in nature was this one.

That's why I ask you to add Banja Vrujci to the list of places you would like to visit.

Get to know Serbia, you won't regret it.
