This post will explain basics of training grounds for Genesis League Goals (GLG), a game on Genesis League Sports (GLS) Platform, in partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA). Compete with your favorite MLSPA players in the form of NFTs, manage soccer teams and win rewards in this rapid tactic strategy game that will utilize NFTs, cryptocurrency, and the Hive blockchain – Genesis League Goals!

Traning Grounds are NFTs in Genesis League Goals (GLG) where a player (user) can stake cards (player or coach) & training their player which will results in earning rewards. Cards active in training will be limited by training slots. The more players are staked, the better the rewards will be. In addition to cards being staked, staked GLX will need to be delegated to training grounds to get full rewards.

Every user will be able to claim a traning ground once they have bough a Franchise License. If you already have a Franchise License, then you should be able to get a training ground.

Once training gorund is claimed, user will need to buy training slots in order to start training players. Users can but unlimited training slots. Each slot will cost 1 GLUSD or 1000 Credits with upto 20% discount if 10 GLGT are used. Each GLGT will provide 2% discount on price. All GLUSD received will be sent to @gls.dao. For credits purchased, 1 GLUSD will be sent to @gls.dao. for each 1000 credits. All GLGT tokens will be burned.

Apart from buying slots, 5000 staked GLX per slot will need to be delegated to training grounds nfts in order to train players & earn rewards. This will make cards with higher merge count produce better rewards as staking requirements are per slot. 5000 GLX delegated per slot seems like a fair amount to start. This number can be revised based on player feedback or @gls.dao proposals in future.

Users are free to stake level 1 cards but that will not be efficient way to maximise rewards as for each card there need to be a training ground slot and 5000 staked GLX delegated to training grounds. This will motivate users to combine cards and reduce card supply for overall market.

10,000,000 (10M) GLX from undisclosed category in GLG Whitepaper will be used to reward participants in training grounds. 8000 GLX per day will be distributed for 1250 days to training grounds. Snapshot of training grounds and what is staked will be taken every day including delegated GLX and number of slots. Snaphot will be used to determine rewards shares for each user that day. If a user is contributing 10% rshares for a ceratin day, he will get 10% of the reward pool (800 GLX) for that day.

In future, more rewards like earning XP to level up cards passively can be added to training grounds.

Trainer will be a rare NFT card which can be staked to training grounds to double rshares (i.e. rewards). Trainer cards can only be found in Season 2 packs. More on that will be shared in future.
