Operation Sweep: My Lifelong Commitment to Cleanliness

"OPERATION SWEEP" yea, that was a nickname I got from a young age into my teen years at home because of how conscious I was and still am about keeping my environment, and living space clean and also inspiring others to live the same way, which most of the time ends up positively.
I grew up with my three other siblings all girls and my parent, while two out of the four of us never joked with cleanliness at all times, the other two weren't, although we shared a room, but you could see the unique difference of how each of us kept our corners, while me and one of my siblings hardly kept dirty clothes to the next day, as we would always wash our previously worn clothes right before taking our bath, my other two siblings could soak theirs for days, one even went as far as a week once due to laziness and that non challant attitude, sometimes often ended up in heated arguments on how they cared less about their things and tidiness.
It got to a point where we had to start picking up after them, do their laundry till they felt guilty enough to emulate our lifestyle. Thankfully today, they are better adults with the right attitude to cleaning. Some people argue that we are born natural cleaners or OCD like some like to refer, built that way to always want to keep our environment clean and clutter-free, but I believe this is a lifestyle everyone should develop, because cleanliness is next to godliness, and also a path to good health, how can you say you desire to have good health when you don't know how to keep yourself and environment clean, it more or less as if you are deceiving yourself.
I love being in a clean place because that is only where I can meditate and function well, I happen to have a very sensitive nose that can pick up the slightest dirty smell, which often leads to distraction for me if I don't source it out and nullify it.
Cleaning doesn't have to be a herculean task like most people see it to be, instead look forward to the warmth and satisfaction you get when everywhere is well tidied and how your productivity peaks. I've had to live in an environment where the residents hardly involved in cleaning their environment, but not having a choice then, I took up the cleaning myself and was lucky to have some others join me, and before I knew it, it became a lifestyle for everyone, to the extent that they made timetable to rotate the cleaning so the environment doesn't go back to how bad it looked before.
That experience taught me that, sometimes people just need the right orientation and you also being an example to them for them to know what's right and learn the art of cleaning. I also encourage parents to teach their young ones the importance of cleanliness, and that is how they grow into adults who take cleanliness and good health seriously.
