Saludos mis queridos Needleworkers deseo tengan un inicio de semana lleno de muchas bendiciones y muchas ganas de disfrutar de un paseo creativo.
He tenido unas semanas muy ocupada que casi no he tenido tiempo para tomarme un respiro y poder compartir con ustedes como quisiera, mi carpeta esta full de fotos de algunos proyectos que he ido creando y buscando un espacio para navegar por la comunidad, ver sus proyectos creativos, valorar y comentar los que he podido.
Como verán no me dieron opción de responder sino solo esperar a que llegara el fieltro, mientras comencé a crear y diseñar para luego cortar; hice el molde en papel y luego corté cada pieza siguiendo la idea de la foto que me envió.
As you can see, there wasn't exactly room for discussion! I just had to wait for the felt to arrive while I started brainstorming the design and cutting. I made a paper pattern and then cut out each piece based on the idea in the photo they sent.
Comencé uniendo dos piezas para cada tentáculo, 4 pequeños y dos grandes.
I started by joining two pieces for each tentacle – four small ones and two large ones.
Luego cosí dos piezas que serian las aletas y las ajusté con alfileres al manto, y cosí en la máquina.
Then, I sewed two pieces that would be the fins and pinned them to the mantle before running them through the sewing machine.
Luego para ajustar los tentáculos al manto corté una pieza del ancho del mismo y ajuste cada tentáculo con alfiler dejando un espacio para la cara, cosí en la máquina.
Next, to attach the tentacles to the mantle, I cut a piece the same width as the mantle and pinned each tentacle, leaving a space for the face. Then, it was back to the sewing machine.
Ya solo me quedaba hacerlo los ojos, para ello corté círculos en fieltro de color blanco 2 grandes y 2 pequeñitos y 2 negro pequeños, los pegué con silicón y listo su outfit estaba listo justo una hora antes de su defensa de proyecto.
All that was left were the eyes. For those, I cut out two large and two small white felt circles and two small black ones. I glued them together with silicone, and bam! The outfit was ready just an hour before the project presentation.
Este proyecto me tomó parte de mi sueño pues el fieltro llegó a eso de las 7 de la noche y después de un día de oficios en casa, una tarde de clase y una hora de caminata, mi estado de ánimo no era el ideal pero mi modo después de una ducha me armé de mi mejor sonrisa y a cortar, logré coser los te tentáculos esa noche, pero el cansancio y sueño me dominó, por lo que me toco madrugar y coser desde muy temprano y una hora y alguito, logré terminarlo justo cuando ya iban camino al colegio.
This project definitely stole some of my precious sleep! The felt didn't arrive until around 7 PM, and after a day of housework, an afternoon of classes, and an hour-long walk, my energy levels weren't exactly sky-high. But after a shower, I put on my best smile and got to cutting. I managed to sew the tentacles that night, but exhaustion and sleepiness got the better of me. So, I had to get up super early and sew from the crack of dawn, and in about an hour and a bit, I finished it just as they were heading off to schoo
