Hi steemians and online pokerfriends!
I've been playing on pokerstars and some other pokersites(fulltilt,PKR,...)for quite some years now and especially if you're new to the game it's allways handy to know some of the basics about the game such as shown here in this preflop strategy guide.
First you have to know something about the positions at a poker table which you can see below here in the example.
It's a table containing 10 players:

The best position you can hold at the table is the dealer button, marked with "D". It's the best position cause the player who holds it gets to speak latest in the game, which gives him a great advantage compaired to the others at the table.
The worsed positions are the small blind and the big blind (SB and BB),cause player that holds it has to speak up first, which gives the other players a better position to start bluffing and taking down the hand.
You then have Under-the-gun(UTG)1,2and3,which are also bad positions, then the middle positions (MP)1,2and3 which are better to hold and then you have the cut-off, which is a good position just a little bit lesser than the dealer button.
On the starting hand strategy chart you can see all the hands that are playable in which positions. This is a good basic strategy for any starting poker player or for anyone who's lost his way a bit around the tables and needs to get a grip on the game again! I've used it myself for many years and it brought me to some nice final tables where I took down some nice prizes!!!
It's the most important chart of what you need to know about no limit texas hold'em poker!
Also,if you want a nice video explaining the tactics around this chart step-by-step,you can download Howard Lederer's online poker strategy on the pirate bay.com ;)
