Yay! It's task 2.

As most of you know, I am a proud member and participant in the newbies-initiative. Some days ago we were presented with our second task. This task is a bit technical compared to the previous task. I tried to take my time on this one to create something unique.

Let's Get Down To The Task

As usual, we are expected to answer several questions. The difference with this task is that we had to give our post a professional touch and make it look like a post by someone who have spent years on hive.

I have been posting on hive since January this year, actually I created my account December last year, but with the Christmas celebration and all, I wasn't really active and serious on hive until January.

Throughout my stay on hive, I have written 48 posts made 195 comments. It's not that much, I know. I've had lots of set backs honestly.

Generally, my experience on hive have been blissful. I must say it's not so easy to get attention amongst the big whale, but then giving up is never an option. I just have to keep pushing until I make a major breakthrough here.

The truth is I haven't unleashed my full potential here, I haven't explored the platform the way I should. I know nobody can truly explore every aspect of the platform, but I'm active on about 3 communities out of 300, that tells you that there's a lot more I can explore here.

Llevo posteando en hive desde enero de este año, en realidad creé mi cuenta en diciembre del año pasado, pero con la celebración de la Navidad y todo eso, no estuve realmente activo y serio en hive hasta enero

Plagiarization according to Merriam-Websterww means to steal and pass off the ideas or words of another as one's own : use another's production without crediting the source. -el Origen

From this definition, it tells you that the act is considered as stealing. I haven't heard of a place where stealing is considered good. While some people commit this act out of ignorance, some people actually commit this act unknowingly. This could be because they have no idea what Plagiarism is all about, or they don't know how to credit an article.

I'll be drifting off my nbtask for a short while and talk about Plagiarism a little more. Basically anything on your Post that does not belong to you, that you didn't create by yourself must be credited to the original owner.

How Can You Do That!

I'm sure there are so many posts out there that teaches us how to source and credit any article. Incase if you haven't come across any of such posts, here's a brief guideline. It's simple actually.

Any article or image you are trying to source, simply copy the link to the article or image, head back to your post and do this;

[Source](paste your link)

This way your post is free from Plagiarization. Now remember that even if you source an article on your Post, but 70% your post is not your work, you can't really claim ownership of that post. Therefore to be on a safe side, make sure your posts have more original work than sourced articles.

Plagio según Merriam-Webster significa robar y hacer pasar las ideas o palabras de otro como propias : utilizar la producción de otro sin acreditar la fuente.

De esta definición se desprende que el acto se considera un robo. No he oído hablar de ningún lugar en el que robar se considere bueno. Mientras que algunas personas cometen este acto por ignorancia, otras lo hacen sin saberlo. Esto puede deberse a que no tienen ni idea de lo que es el plagio, o no saben cómo acreditar un artículo.

Me desviaré de mi nbtask por un momento y hablaré un poco más sobre el Plagio. Básicamente cualquier cosa en tu Post que no te pertenezca, que no hayas creado por ti mismo debe ser acreditado al dueño original.

¿Cómo se puede hacer eso?

Estoy seguro de que hay muchos puestos por ahí que nos enseña cómo la fuente y el crédito de cualquier artículo. En caso de que no te hayas topado con ninguno de esos artículos, aquí tienes una breve guía. Es muy sencillo.

Cualquier artículo o imagen que estés tratando de citar, simplemente copia el enlace al artículo o imagen, vuelve a tu post y haz esto;

De esta forma tu post estará libre de plagio. Ahora recuerde que incluso si usted la fuente de un artículo en su puesto, pero el 70% de su puesto no es su trabajo, usted no puede realmente reclamar la propiedad de ese puesto. Por lo tanto, para estar en un lado seguro, asegúrese de que sus mensajes tienen más trabajo original que los artículos de origen.

Do you know I once attended a school that would expel you if you were caught begging, especially if it was money related. I don't believe anybody who can afford a phone or a computer to blog is a beggar. Therefore you shouldn't stoop so low as to begging for votes. I know sometimes you would want to beg for votes because you feel you are not getting the rewards you deserve. But then there are people who don't get as much as you do. Keep putting effort and never give up, one day you'd get those rewards you deserve.

Sabes que una vez asistí a una escuela que te expulsaba si te pillaban mendigando, especialmente si estaba relacionado con el dinero. No creo que nadie que pueda permitirse un teléfono o un ordenador para escribir en un blog sea un mendigo. Por lo tanto, no deberías caer tan bajo como para mendigar votos. From my experience on the platform, it is obvious that post recycling is not accepted on hive. I don't see any need to recycle your posts, it's much better not to post anything till you have something new to post. The only thing that should be recycled is trash. So if you feel your post is trash, then you go ahead and recycle it.

Por mi experiencia en la plataforma, es obvio que el reciclaje de posts no es aceptado en hive. No veo ninguna necesidad de reciclar tus posts, es mucho mejor no publicar nada hasta que tengas algo nuevo que publicar. Lo único que se debe reciclar es la basura. Así que si crees que tu post es basura, entonces sigue adelante y recíclalo.

Permit me to take this medium to appreciate the entire newbies-initiative team for putting together this great program. I'm really glad that I was selected to be a part of this. The lecture on marking down and editing was of great help to me. Looking back at what I have written so far, I never knew that my post could ever look so cool. Before this, the only editing I was familiar with was bold and italics, but this has opened my eyes to a lot more editing functions.

Estoy muy contento de haber sido seleccionado para formar parte de él. La conferencia sobre la corrección y la edición fue de gran ayuda para mí. Antes de esto, la única edición que conocía era la negrita y la cursiva, pero esto me ha abierto los ojos a muchas más funciones de edición.
