Pues bien, hoy es turno del primer villano de esta colección de figuritas, un villano icónico del primer Dragon Ball, el gran emperador... Pilaf...
Acompáñenme en el paso a paso de esta nueva figurita y primer villano del grupo de malos que haré.
Step by step
For this piece I started working on the base; that is, the feet. This is the part where I usually start all my figurines, being the feet of pilaf similar to the feet of a genie in the bottle, with the little shoes raised at the front. In this case I made them orange.
Paso a paso
Para esta pieza comencé trabajando en la base; es decir, en los pies. Es la parte por la que suelo comenzar todas mis figuritas, siendo los pies de pilaf parecidos a los pies de un genio de la botella, con los zapatitos levantados en la parte delantera. En este caso los hice de color naranja.
The pants go in line with the shoes, as they are pants similar to those of a genie in the bottle; that is, bloomers, with some wrinkles at the bottom.
I made them with purple plasticine, being a color that stands out quite a bit compared to the orange. I didn't make them of such a big size, since they are covered almost entirely by the black tunic of the character, which I would make later.
Los pantalones van en consonancia con los zapatos, ya que son unos pantalones similares también a los de un genio de la botella; es decir, pantalones bombachos, con ciertas arrugas en la parte inferior.
Los hice con plastilina púrpura, siendo un color que resalta bastante en comparación con el naranja. No los hice de un tamaño tan grande, ya que van cubierto casi en su totalidad por la túnica negra del personaje, la cual haría más adelante.
I made the tunic in the shape of a bell. Although it is black, it is not made entirely of black plasticine, since I used plasticine of other colors for the inner part of the piece, while the black color was only used in the outer part, being a thin layer the only one that covers all the part that can be seen; that is to say, the outer part.
As you can see in the image below, the inside of this bell-shaped tunic is composed of several colors of plasticine, as I already mentioned. I do this to fill the inner part and not to use up all the black plasticine in one solid piece.
La túnica la hice con forma de campana. A pesar de que es de color negro, no está hecha en su totalidad de plastilina negra, ya que use plastilina de otros colores para la parte interior de la pieza, mientras que el color negro solo lo usé en la parte exterior, siendo una delgada capa la única que cubre toda la parte que se ve; es decir, la parte exterior.
Como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo, el interior de esta túnica en forma de campana está compuesta por varios colores de plastilina, como ya lo mencioné. Esto lo hago para rellenar la parte interior y no gastar toda la plastilina negra en una única pieza maciza.
Well, it was time to put all the pieces together. To attach the feet I used the wire you can see at the beginning, the legs I attached them to the body using a long wooden stick, which protrudes from the body of the character towards the head.
Pues bien, llegó el momento de unir todas las piezas. Para unir los pies use el alambre que pueden ver al comienzo, las piernas las uní al cuerpo usando un largo palillo de madera, que sobresale desde el cuerpo del personaje hacia la cabeza.
After I had these pieces ready, I used some glue to give more strength to the joints. While the glue was drying, I began to draw the symbol that pilaf has on his tunic, which I started to do with a circle of paper and pencil.
Later, I painted with red paint the lines I made with a graphite pencil, glued the symbol on the chest of the character and used red plasticine to make the edge of this round symbol. I also glued the arms with wire and more glue.
Después de tener estas piezas listas, use un poco de pegamento para dar mayor fuerza a las uniones. Mientras este secaba, comencé a dibujar el símbolo que tiene pilaf en su túnica, el cual comencé a hacer con un círculo de papel y lápiz.
Posteriormente, pinté con pintura roja las líneas que hice con un lápiz de grafito, pegué el símbolo en el pecho del personaje y use plastilina roja para hacer el borde de este símbolo redondo. También pegue los brazos con ayuda de alambre y más pegamento.
As you can see in the image below, I also made that ornament on the neck, an accordion-shaped ornament that is between the body and the head.
Como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo, también le hice ese adorno que tiene en el cuello, un adorno con forma de acordeón que está entre el cuerpo y la cabeza.
Then I made the head and the emblematic cap of the character, which is blue and red.
I made the eyes in such a way that they will complement an expression of few friends, very characteristic of the pilaf emperor.
Seguidamente hice la cabeza y el gorrito emblemático del personaje, el cual es de color azul y rojo.
Los ojos los hice de manera tal, que complementarán una expresión de pocos amigos, muy característica del emperador pilaf.
Finally I joined the head to the body, using glue and the same toothpick that was sticking out of the tunic. This way the figurine was finished. Below you can see a series of pictures of the final result:
Finalmente uní la cabeza con el cuerpo, usando pegamento y el mismo palillo que sobresalía de la túnica. De esta manera la figurita quedó terminada. A continuación pueden ver una serie de fotografías del resultado final:
