My name is Fretchie. I am from Cebu, Philippines. Cebu is one of the many tourist spots in my country. I will share to you guys what it feels like to be a local in a busy island filled with tourists. I will be sharing an authentic local experience directly from Cebu here on Steemit!
I have been here for a few months now, just lurking around, observing. And after understanding a bit of how the community works, I now have the guts to introduce myself. I've always been wary of exposing myself in online platforms. Knowing how most social media networks induce insecurities and self-consciousness with an endless filter over pictures and posts, only encouraging false marketing instead of confidence about being oneself in your own filter-free environment, I had to make sure that Steemit is not like one of those. And this community is proving to be what I want and need! I've seen so much positivity! I love how everyone are so kind and welcoming to newcomers, too. I've always wanted to share my experiences, both exciting and normal, online and I think this is it!
