Hello fellow steemians (or steemers or steemianites?)
I joined the steemit project out of curiosity, as I have done countless times trying every new and interesting platform out there. The idea behind blockchain is something that bears the same revolutionary undertones to me as freenet did (https://freenetproject.org/): a descentralized, tamper-proof, and "permanent" network, in the sense that posts are forever, hardcoded into the network.
I hope I will be able to contribute to popularize and help grow the steemit community. My main interests are in science (physics and mathematics), and politics.
I think the move to steemit away from other platforms such as google plus and facebook is a move towards a more democratic and people-centered world. Now it is our job to convince others to join with good content and healthy interactions.
