Hi Actifitters,

after a short break from cycling, yesterday was my first training session on the smart trainer. It was fun and felt surprisingly easy. Perhaps it was a good idea to take a few days off the bike.

My Garmin Enduro 3 suggested a sprint session that should look like this:

20 minutes warm-up at 150 watts
15 x 0:10 at 400 watts (20 seconds recovery between each interval at 75 watts)
5 minutes recovery at 125 watts
15 x 0:10 at 400 watts (20 seconds recovery between each interval at 75 watts)
15-minute cool-down at 125 watts

The session felt unusually easy. Perhaps it was because I approached the sprints far too relaxed. My priority was to get through the sprint intervals, not to hammer out maximum speed on the pedals.

Here are some more stats from the workout:

Duration - 54:23
Average speed - 28.0 km/h
Maximum speed - 38.1 km/h
Average power output - 149 watts
Maximum power output - 402 watts
Average heart rate - 136 bpm
Maximum heart rate - 165 bpm

Today's plan is another sprint session. This time it's structured a little differently. More on that in tomorrow's report.
