I have talked and will continue to do so in a section of the blog about animals that are harmful to the garden, but there are also many animals that are beneficial to the garden. These are the predators that help us control pests in the most efficient and clean way possible. Our job will be to attract them and respect them so that they can help us get the best harvests.
The assassin fly is a type of fly, you know, those flies that look like small bees. This is their natural camouflage so they can survive and hunt.
This type of fly is harmless to humans but a terrible predator of all garden pests. It makes no distinctions and could be said to be like a wasp, but a fly. Its hunting behavior is very similar, and it uses the same weapons, except that instead of a strong jaw, the assassin fly has saliva that paralyzes its victims.
Getting them to appear in our crops isn't difficult, as they are quite abundant, and if there is prey, they will come. But if you want them to stay, especially during the winter, having an insect hotel is very effective. This way, you'll get them to appear in our crops sooner and control pests much more effectively.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
