Memories

I sit on thecouch And a song comes on It used to be your song Now I sit and I slouch And marvel at what I'vecome upon It is you I remember sitting on the bus In those cold winter mornings I remember thinking about us As I listened to these songs I remember the cold window That reminded me of your hand I remember the nights I broke down And I couldn't even stand I remember seeing the countryside And wishing I could see you instead I remember the day you left For I am still dead I no longer see that vivid spectrum Just likeI no longer see your face I no longer have enthusiasm And I no longer feel your embrace I remember all of our memories Which are poems in themselves But most importantly As I currently drown in my own tears I remember my emotions Because They still exist
