As I used to say music is everything and everything is music. The role of music in human life can't be overemphasized. Music is a way we express ourselves, a universal language that enables us to connect with people, share thoughts, emotions etc. Have you ever imagined life without music how would it be? Hmmmm there are lots to be covered.
For this particular initiative, I would like to share some thoughts on imagine if there's no music in the world or life entirely what would happen? How would the world look like?
- A world without music is a world loss of cultural heritage or identity. One of the easiest ways one identifies with his environment or society is via culture. Remember culture is the way of life of the people. Music is connected to culture especially in the region of Africa. There are certain cultures that have grown to a global view based on the kind of music they have. For instance once you say jarawa in the middle belt of Nigeria everyone knows they are from plateau State. They normally sing and dance with local flute in their mouth. Their uniformity in dressing and dance makes it colorful and unique. Imagine no music what would have become of them? That beautiful culture would have died off.
- Music helps to us create an atmosphere where we express our emotions. A world without music is a world where many might not be able to express their emotions. Many would have died because of oppression, depression etc. For instance in my dear country Nigeria where we have lots of issues to settle in terms of development and good leadership system. The citizens especially the musicians express their emotions, plight and feeling through music. There are other people that are downcast, what revives and resuscitate them is music. I have heard lots of testimonies of people that were healed via music. Personally, my negative emotions changes when I listen to music.
- I can't just imagine living in the world where no sound, birds singing hmmm somebody will die of being bored. Music is all encompassing in both all kinds of sounds. Without it the silence in the world would be too much.Some records of death we have today might be due to the results of boredom.
- Life without music will rub many the opportunity to unleash their potential. I have a solar audio MP3 where I play music from 6pm to 7am. Anytime I wake up at night, it inspires and cools off my spirit. Without music there would be drive to delve into some things. Some people get inspired and boost their creativity via music. Music is also medicinal because it cures lot of mental disorder and emotions are termed. Anytime I have a wondering thought or I want to charge my spirit mind I look for sound.
Life without music is like a world without life. It's good to appreciate music and acknowledge the impact in our lives. Music begins when a child is born. He's born into a world of sound. Life without music is not good.
