Everyone was praising Mira as she performed some dance steps before her classmates. It was their annual party and they were preparing for it. It was a free period, so they took advantage to make some rehearsals for the dance performance.
"No one can dance better than you," Neha said to Mira and all the others agreed with her.
"I am sure you will make this day memorable as you are the life of the party."
Neha was a close friend of Mira who always supported her in her difficult time. Whenever she felt sad, she felt relief after being praised by Neha. Mira also held a good place among her classmates and she was considered to be the most charming person in the whole university. This time, everyone was also enthusiastic about her performance.
"What's about the dresses?" Mira asked Neha.
"Why not to wear something different this time?" She replied.
"You mean we wouldn't do twining this time?"
"Yes! Because I want you to look different and beautiful."
Last time Mira and Neha wore the same dresses at the party and everyone praised them as they looked stunning. Mira was also thinking of twining this time, but Neha wanted to do something different. She was a true friend of Mira who always wanted her to be praised by everyone.
"But at least you can help me in finding a suitable dress! Are not you?"
"Yes, I will! Get ready, we will go tomorrow."
The next day, Mira and Neha went to buy dresses for the party. Neha suggested Mira buy a blue dress with white pearls on it. It was so majestic and gave a royal look. Nehe herself bought a black dress. After the shopping, they came back to the hostel room. After having dinner, the other girls also came to them and they showed each other the dresses which they were going to wear to the party.
Finally, the day came, Mira woke up early and after having her breakfast she asked Neha to press her clothes.
"Would you iron my clothes? You know well how bad I am at ironing clothes..lol. So, I don't want to take the risk of any damage."
"Why not! I will do."
Mira got busy doing her nails while Neha was ironing clothes. Just then Neha outburst.
"OMG...!....How?
Mira looked up and asked her.
"What happened? Is everything ok?"
She couldn't say anything, but just lifted Mira's dress and peeked from the hole which was caused by excessive heat.
"Sorry, Mira! I don't know how this happened! Please forgive me!"
Mira was also shocked to see her dress. She sat in pause and thousands of thoughts were running in her mind.
"How would I be able to attend the party? How would I perform my dance for whom I prepared day and night.?"
Neha came near to her with her head down. She was embarrassed at what happened to her unknowingly, but she couldn't utter a word. After some time, she said to her.
"Mira! I think you should wear my dress!"
"What?"
"Yes, Mira! I am responsible for all this and now I would compensate for it."
"No Neha! I know it was just a mistake, so you don't need to worry."
She sighed and further said,
"A little time is left, so get ready and go to the party."
"And what's about you?"
"I wouldn't go!"
"What? Are you mad? How could I attend the party without you? It would be surely a boring day without you."
"But you would have to and that's it."
She convinced Neha to go to the party without her. So Neha got ready and left for the party with a heavy heart. Although Mira made her go she was so upset. She lay on her bed and tears were sparkling in her eyes. Just then she heard a knock on the door. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see Neha.
"You are still here? You should be at the party right now."
"How would I go without the life of the party?"
She smiled and presented her with a dress the same as the first one.
"Omg! Neha! Are you crazy? "
"Yes! And now immediately get ready, as we are already late."
She hugged her and got ready for the party. They both entered together in the party together. Although they were late everyone was happy to see them.
