Estampas de mi semana (I)

No debo estar sola en esto, en pensar que la semana corre demasiado rápido, pues en un instante es lunes y parece que en un parpadeo ya vas rumbo al fin de semana.

Se me ha ocurrido crear esta publicación con momentos que viví esta semana, pequeñas estampas que me llenaron de diversas emociones. 

Esta es una compilación de esta semana con sus días que, para mí, van volando.

I must not be alone in thinking that the week goes by too quickly, because in an instant it's Monday and it seems like in the blink of an eye you're already heading into the weekend.

I decided to create this post with moments I experienced this week, little snapshots that filled me with different emotions.

This is a compilation of this week with its days that, for me, are flying by.

• • Retratando la espuma de la playa

    Portraying the foam on the beach

Caminar y trotar en la playa es un momento que se va sumando cada vez más a mi rutina. Recientemente ha habido mar de leva en la playa donde camino y esto hace que el mar tenga un comportamiento diferente; es más feroz y las olas que llegan a besar la arena llegan cargadas de más espuma. Notando esto, tomé unas fotos que me encantaron, el mar con todo su poderío, recordándome grandeza de la vida.

Walking and jogging on the beach is something that is becoming more and more part of my routine. Recently, there has been a swell at the beach where I walk, and this makes the sea behave differently; it is fiercer, and the waves that kiss the sand are laden with more foam. Noticing this, I took some photos that I loved, the sea in all its power, reminding me of the greatness of life.

• • Un concurso lleno de nostalgia

    A contest filled with nostalgia

Fui a Farmatodo a comprar unas vitaminas y, mientras estaba en uno de los pasillos, se le acercó una chica, que luego supe que era una promotora de la marca Flips, un cereal relleno muy popular en Venezuela.

Ella me preguntó si quería participar en una dinámica y acepté. Entonces me llevó hasta una cabina telefónica y allí recibí una llamada. Este momento me llenó de nostalgia al recordar la antigua tecnología que tan bien lograba comunicarnos.

I went to Farmatodo to buy some vitamins, and while I was in one of the aisles, a girl approached me. I later learned that she was a promoter for the brand Flips, a very popular filled cereal in Venezuela.

She asked me if I wanted to participate in an activity, and I agreed. She then took me to a phone booth, where I received a call. This moment filled me with nostalgia as I remembered the old technology that allowed us to communicate so well.

En la llamada me preguntaron mi sabor favorito de este cereal y al final tuve que repetir un corto poema; luego me regalaron un juego de raquetas de playa... Debo confesar que esperaba que me dieran Flips (lol).

During the call, they asked me my favorite flavor of this cereal, and at the end I had to repeat a short poem; then they gave me a set of beach rackets... I must confess that I was hoping they would give me Flips (lol).

• • Hidratación después del ejercicio

Hydration after exercise

Esta semana disfruté de un par de ricos cocos después de caminar por la playa; me encantó lo bien que me cayó el agua de coco, me sentí completamente renovada; además, disfrutar de su tierna pulpa es un exquisito regalo.

This week I enjoyed a couple of delicious coconuts after walking on the beach; I loved how good the coconut water tasted, I felt completely refreshed; plus, enjoying its tender flesh is a delicious treat.

• • ¿Qué pasa con el vivero de EPA?

What about the EPA nursery?

Estuve en EPA viendo algunos productos y aproveché para pasar por su vivero; la verdad que hace mucho que no lo visitaba y me entristeció mucho lo que vi. La mayoría de las plantas están completamente descuidadas, muchas están secas, y solo me pregunto qué pasará en esta organización que ha descuidado tanto esta área que solía estar tan llena de vida. Me encantaba entrar a mirar la gran variedad de plantas que ofrecían; ojalá pronto tomen medidas al respecto.

I was at EPA looking at some products and took the opportunity to stop by their nursery; honestly, it had been a long time since I had visited, and I was very saddened by what I saw. Most of the plants are completely neglected, many are dry, and I just wonder what will happen to this organization that has neglected this area so much, which used to be so full of life. I used to love going in to look at the wide variety of plants they offered; I hope they take action on this soon.
