Holi familia, espero que todos estén muy bien hoy✨.
Año nuevo, vida nueva dicen por ahí, veo muchos post sobre sus reuniones familiares recibiendo el nuevo año y esto me emociona porque me hace feliz que cada uno pueda compartir en esas fechas importantes y lindas, por mi parte, junto a mi familia también hicimos un pequeño plan y quería contarles un poco sobre eso.

New year, new life, as they say. I see many posts about your family gatherings to welcome the new year, and this excites me because it makes me happy that everyone can share in these important and beautiful dates. For my part, my family and I also made a little plan, and I wanted to tell you a little bit about it.
Acá en Argentina ya empezó el verano, esto nos ha tenido un poco irritables porque el calor es terrible, pero aún así nos soportamos o lo intentamos jaja, para el 31 de diciembre tuvimos una pequeña reunión en la casa de mi hermana mayor, Alondra, este es nuestro punto frecuente porque su casa es bastante cómoda y espaciosa así que siempre se presta para los juntes amistosos y bochinches familiares.
Esta vez fue algo especial porque "rompimos la tradición" por llamarlo de alguna manera, les explico, normalmente somos las mujeres en la familia quienes nos encargamos de la cena y la comida, pero esta vez tuvo participación mi novio Marcos, quien se encargó del plato principal (el pasticho) porque es su especialidad y todos preferimos que él lo haga, así que Marcos tiene una mención especial en esta cena jaja.
Here in Argentina, summer has already begun, which has made us a little irritable because the heat is terrible, but we still put up with it, or at least we try to haha. On December 31, we had a small gathering at my older sister Alondra's house. This is our usual meeting place because her house is quite comfortable and spacious, so it's always perfect for friendly get-togethers and family gatherings.
This time was special because we “broke with tradition,” so to speak. Let me explain: normally, the women in the family are in charge of dinner and food, but this time my boyfriend Marcos got involved and took care of the main dish (pasticho) because it's his specialty and we all prefer him to make it, so Marcos gets a special mention for this dinner, haha.
El pasticho quedó delicioso, pero también compartimos un rico pan de jamón que hizo mi mamá y yo me encargué de la torta, que fue una torta 3 leches con durazno, a mi familia le encanta así que es de mis platos predeterminado porque me encanta que halaguen lo que preparo.
Estuvimos compartiendo junto a mi mamá, su esposo y sus hijos, también estaba mi hijo Thiago, Marcos y nuestros queridos amigos Alejandra y Josué, quienes casi siempre nos acompañan y nosotros encantados porque los queremos muchísimo.
The pasticho was delicious, but we also shared some tasty ham bread that my mom made, and I was in charge of the cake, which was a tres leches cake with peaches. My family loves it, so it's one of my go-to dishes because I love it when they compliment what I make.
We were spending time together with my mom, her husband, and her children. My son Thiago was there too, along with Marcos and our dear friends Alejandra and Josué, who almost always join us, which we love because we care about them so much.

Es algo hermoso poder tenernos como familia para esas fechas porque estando lejos de nuestro país Venezuela donde está el resto de la familia, es algo doloroso y nostálgico, pero igual intentamos estar alegres siempre y pese a todo, pasarla bien.

It's wonderful to have our family together at this time of year because being far from our country, Venezuela, where the rest of the family is, is painful and nostalgic, but we try to always be happy and have a good time despite everything.
