Shapes, Colors, Brushstrokes

By @erikah1/5/2026hive-194913

Over Christmas and Yew Year I've been thinking about what I can do about my new project. This thought has been in my mind for some time and as I don't like to rush into any creative works, I needed time to decide what I want to do. Things are clear now and as the next two days are national holidays here, I'll have time to put together what I need from the copy shop and start my creative project. It involves art, but not only, that's all I can tell you for now :)

Till I'll be able to show you some partial progress photos, you'll have to do with the art I'm bringing you from the galleries, so let's see the rest of the photos from the very last exhibition I visited, called "Contactus".

Lucia Calinescu - Hot Summer

A lovely abstract summer painting with vibrant colors. You can't really see what exactly the artist meant, apart from the horizontal bar, but the whole canvas reminds me of those color runs, where you show up in a white outfit and finish like the painting looks like above.

Does this look interesting to you? But not yet. We have a few other paintings to visit before we attend these.

Diana David - No One Can See Us

This painting was not new to me, I've seen it at the same exhibition hall before, it was a solo exhibition of the artist and loved it. The artist had some attachment to pedestrian crossings as you could see the crossings in several of her paintings. It's a strange thing as I've never seen anyone paint pedestrian crossings, but it is strange in a good way. I loved those paintings. This one is also one of my favorites, especially that the red and white lines are sprinkled with some umbrellas, that makes the whole composition kind of mysterious and more interesting.

Rebeca Manescu - Fruit Of Earth

This is a riddle for me at this point. At first glance, it looks like a print, like the design of a ceramic tile for exterior, but reading the title, it looks like lands, parcels from above, like from a plain. You tell me, how do you interpret this?

Mircea Moldovan - And Yet Love

This is not a painting, it's rather a composition, a very interesting and funny one. It's unique as well as I've never seen anything similar. Use of thread is common, that I've seen it before, but adding the rest to it is new. It's not a work I'd hang on my wall, but I like the out of the box thinking. Seeing a few small creatures around the bigger one, makes me think it's parental love what we're seeing here.

László Botár - Connections 1, Connections 2

This is an abstract, or two abstracts for you as the riddle of the day. Tell me what you see here and what the artist meant to say with these two artworks.

Eduárd Csupán - ...

3 dots, because I can't read the title of this lovely, life like nature painting, that could very well be a photo as well. Roots are often present in art and have a deep meaning.

You have two close-up photos, to see the rough texture of the painting.

Örs Rézi - Kandinsky Game (left), Miro Sound (right)

We live in a digital era and here we are, you see the digital world in art too. It is interesting for sure, although it's not my kind of art, but I'm sure it would look good in a gamer's room.

Dalma Nagy - Immersed

These two paintings are not new to me wither as I've seen the solo exhibition of the artist at the same gallery. It's a particular style that is not exactly my favorite, but what I appreciate here is the details. It's not easy to create paintings like these. The good thing is, we are all different with different preferences, so there's something for everyone and there's someone for every artwork.

Now let's see which one you like and why. Let me know in a comment.
