Lets think about it... bitcoin was the first and is now the most well known crypto currency.
A lot of people think bitcoin is the blockchain.
But in reality Bitcoin had its own demise already built in to its code. The proof fo work system to provide a decentralised currency had made it a very centralised and vunerable currency.
- the increasing complexity of the formula to create blocks for mining as the velocity and volume of transactions grows and therefore the value, has made Bitcoin transactions very expensive. And the increasing complexity of solving the formulas has resulted in very expensive transaction costs.
My conclusion is that the blockchain proof of work is really a beta version that that has run its time. And the new generation that will succeed... Will be the dag.
