¡Hola a todos! Les saluda @encuentro. 🤠Hoy es un día muy especial, ya que por primera vez voy a publicar un post con audiovisual en esta comunidad tan importante como lo es @músic en #hive #web3. Este es un buen espacio donde se puede compartir y conocer todo lo relacionado con la música de diferentes géneros.
Quiero contarles sobre un trabajo que estamos realizando en el estilo de la música folclórica, específicamente el joropo central carabobeño. Todo comenzó con el montaje del arpa, ejecutada por mi amigo Raúl Borges. Él es guariqueño, pero lleva ya muchos años viviendo en Belén, estado Carabobo. Raúl no solo es un talentoso arpista, sino también un carpintero que ha creado su propia autogestión. Su arpa, que verán en el video, fue construida por él mismo.
En el video también mencionamos que muchos músicos, de este género aunque no conocen la teoría musical, tocan magistralmente las 35 cuerdas del arpa. Ellos le ponen nombres a los tonos según algunas canciones famosas que han pasado de generación en generación, como "La Resbalosa" y "Las Flores". Este es un lenguaje exclusivo y muy autóctono que les permite afinar el arpa de oído, logrando un sonido bonito.
Es impresionante cómo, con solo dos personas, un cantador y el arpisto, pueden mover y alegrar a cientos y hasta miles de personas. El baile comienza con un tema conocido y luego se transforma en el yaguazo, donde el arpisto improvisa, mientras el cantador ajusta sus versos a esa melodía. Esto es un verdadero arte, una pasión que nace del corazón.

I want to tell you about a project we are working on in the style of folk music, specifically the central Carabobo joropo. It all started with the setup of the harp, played by my friend Raúl Borges. He is from Guárico, but has been living in Belén, Carabobo for many years. Raúl is not only a talented harpist but also a carpenter who has created his own self-management. His harp, which you will see in the video, was built by him.
💡 : Something interesting is that Raúl has ingeniously adapted his motorcycle to transport his harp; he made a wooden tail to secure it, allowing him to travel anywhere in Venezuela to perform.In the video, we also mention that many musicians in this genre, although they do not know music theory, play the 35 strings of the harp masterfully. They name the tones according to famous songs that have been passed down through generations, such as "La Resbalosa" and "Las Flores." This is an exclusive and very indigenous language that allows them to tune the harp by ear, achieving a beautiful sound.
It’s impressive how, with just two people—a cantador and the harpist—they can move and delight hundreds, even thousands, of people. The dance begins with a well-known theme and then transforms into the yaguazo, where the harpist improvises while the cantador adjusts his verses to that melody. This is a true art, a passion that comes from the heart.
