Hello Family,
Today I am taking an extract from one of my favourite books, 48 Laws of power, written by Robert Greene.
This book has been one of the manuals I refer to in my everyday life. I have applied many of the laws and believe me it worked.
Today, I will make a reference to Law 5 of the 48 Laws of power and it talks about reputation.
Reputation according to the Cambridge dictionary, defines reputation as the opinion that people in general have about someone or something, or how much respect or admiration someone or something receives, based on past behaviour or character:
In Robert Greene’s 48 Laws of power, Law 5 states as follows:
Law 5: So Much Depends On Reputation Guard It With Your Life.
“Reputation is the cornerstone of power: through reputation alone you can intimidate and win; once it slips however you are vulnerable and will be attacked on all sides. Make your reputation unassailable. Always be alert to potential attacks and thwart them before they happen. Meanwhile learn to destroy your enemies by opening holes in their own reputations. Then stand aside and let public opinion hang them.”
You have to protect your reputation as it lives after you; it is a landmark that you leave on the face of earth, even when you have transited.
As I always say, remember that there is no other you and no one can do you more than you. Another you is a counterfeit.
Enjoy the rest of your day, walk with your shoulder high and do you!
