El día de hoy quería compartir con ustedes mi segunda visita de carnaval en la Isla de Margarita. Ya les había comentado que por primera vez fui a los carnavales del municipio Mariño, específicamente Porlamar; ahora nos fuimos a los carnavales del municipio García, específicamente San Antonio.

Today I wanted to share with you my second visit to the carnival on Margarita Island. I already told you that the first time I went to the carnival in the municipality of Mariño, specifically to Porlamar; now we went to the carnival in the municipality of García, specifically to San Antonio.
Esta vez fui con mi novio; ese día habíamos quedado en salir y no sabíamos para dónde, entonces, como él es de Porlamar, ya yo había visto el desfile y me dijo: “Vámonos al Carnaval de García un rato. Aunque yo muy poco saco a Jade por la cuestión del virus, esta vez me tocó debido a que estaba en casa de mi novio y ella no conoce a nadie allá y no se iba a quedar tranquila sola, entonces ni modo, me tocó llevármela, y se fue luciendo su lindo disfraz que le hizo su mamita para los carnavales de la Mujer Maravilla.

Although I rarely take Jade out because of the virus, this time I had to because I was at my boyfriend's house and she doesn't know anyone there and wouldn't be comfortable staying alone, so I had no choice but to take her with me, and she went wearing her cute Wonder Woman costume that her mummy made for her for the carnival.
Para estos carnavales nos fuimos muy temprano y la verdad es que pareciera que no hubiera nadie porque, a diferencia de los de Mariño, no había mucha gente. Cuando inició el desfile, me sorprendió que siempre es el alcalde el que sale de primero en carroza o camión con caramelos; esta vez me quedé loca porque literalmente pasó muy rápido y ni siquiera venían los carnavales cerca de él.
Los carnavales de García se caracterizaron por lo sencillo; no había casi extravagancias ni nada del otro mundo y, a diferencia de Mariño, este tenía solo dos bandas show. Lo que más llamó mi atención fueron las carrozas pequeñas de trajes de niña; a mi parecer eran las más hermosas de todo el carnaval. Fue un ratito bastante agradable. ¡Saludos!
We left very early for these carnivals, and honestly, it seemed like there was no one there because, unlike Mariño's carnivals, there weren't many people. When the parade started, I was surprised that it's always the mayor who goes first on a float or truck with sweets; this time, I was shocked because it literally went by so fast, and the carnival participants weren't even close to him.
The carnival in García was characterised by its simplicity; there were hardly any extravagances or anything out of the ordinary and, unlike Mariño, it only had two show bands. What caught my attention the most were the small floats with girls' costumes; in my opinion, they were the most beautiful of the whole carnival. It was a very pleasant time. Cheers!
